This art piece is a response to the bush fires in Australia. Given the amount of pain and destruction that it has caused, I felt it was important to focus on hope, as younger generations are demanding and affecting environmental change in the face of resistance and fear. But it is also a statement that we must honor, consult and unify with First Nations people worldwide, and heed their deep relationship with, understanding and knowledge of the earth and its creatures.
